The Gospel of Salvation

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

God has fully equipped us to abundantly promote his word to the people of this world. What God has given us bypasses natural ability, fear and doubt. It also has the power to cut through the ignorance and hardness of unbelievers (both the speaker and the hearer). All it requires is the willingness to put God first and to step out in faith and do what God wants us to do.

God Has Already Made the Rules

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

The human race has notably and frequently gone outside the boundaries that God has defined as safe and life producing. God doesn't need us to form a church based on our beliefs; rather he chooses us through our humble obedience and builds his own church regardless of our opinions. God's plan is more powerful than our perceptions, not limited to our mindset and far greater than our religious comprehension. He makes the rules, he builds the church, he provides the signs, miracles and wonders they are not our call to make, but his. We can say whatever we like, but God's actions speak louder than ours. 1JOH 5:9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: God's evidence overrules our beliefs... no matter what. Blind faith doesn't work with God... true faith comes with signs following...God has ordained it to be so and wants us to conform accordingly.

The Assurance of Scriptural Salvation

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

When God saves people, he does it in such a way that leaves no room for doubt… scripturally or emotionally. Doubts and fears (even false doctrine), can only rise when people move away from full scriptural evidence and start relying upon partial or incomplete references. Faith on its own is not enough, because faith is one sided. Unless God responds in a scriptural manner, then faith is vain… faith is a ripcord, it is not a parachute...the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit is where salvation dwells. Jesus said that signs and wonders would follow true believers... this allows true bible faith to be established.

Revealing the Hidden Truth

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

Getting understanding about true Christian salvation, is far from being an easy task and it can only come from clear scriptural awareness. Many rely upon isolated scriptures or traditional family/religious beliefs... but this is not a safe way to go, if you want a provable guarantee of eternal life. As always, the best way to learn anything is by studying the detailed scriptures on the desired subject. This we will do and see what the experts of the day had to say about this important topic. The Spirit will always reveal and confirm the truth.

Keys to Real Treasure

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

The biggest challenge for today's church is that it confuses the keys with the treasure, because they are devoid of clear understanding. Many are claiming salvation because they know some of the keys, which they mistakenly believe is the treasure. It is the job of the real church to reveal the difference between the two. Let's separate the keys from the treasure (salvation).

The Holy Spirit

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

Well meaning Christians have turned this topic of the Holy Spirit into a fruit salad of concepts, dogmas, opinions, ideology and theology; with many of their conclusions limiting the Word of God and hindering the knowledge of bible salvation. If we want expert opinion on matters of doctrine, we need to turn to the experts.... those who God inspired to write the bible. We read in Revelation 22:18-19 of the unchanging "Word", which can neither be added to, nor taken from. These words were spoken by Jesus himself who is identified in Heb 13:8, "to be the same yesterday, today and forever". Today we will investigate the Holy Spirit and its life saving capacities from the scriptures.

The Abuse of God's Salvation Message

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

There have been many extreme practices promoted by Spirit filled people over many decades. The 'Toronto styled' blessings (laughing, crying, falling over, etc), the prosperity doctrine, extremes of faith healing, casting devils out of spirit filled people, etc. Have all come about for one reason... they confuse salvation with an emotive confession, that uses the name of Jesus Christ. Salvation has nothing to do with what we verbally claim, rather it depends upon God confirming our repentance through the anointing of the Holy Spirit. This takes it entirely out of our hands and places it in the hands of God.

Empty Vessels Hold Nothing

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

The bible tells us that our bodies are vessels for our spirit... that the spirit is the vital part of our existence and not the body. Unfortunately, most people do everything that brings pleasure to the vessel and do very little to address the real issues of life. It is the spirit that is the crucial factor in all the events and experiences of life. Mankind has it back to front, they focus on satisfying the wrong aspect of their existence. They never find lasting happiness, nor do they ever understand what it is like to be at peace with the world. Many are so busy trying to fill their vessel with pleasure, they never discover the true value of their spirit. The spirit has the opportunity to live forever; the body doesn't. Without the knowledge of God and the purpose of our existence, we are nothing but an empty vessel waiting for our time to run out.

The Urgent Need to Promote the Holy Spirit

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

The following scriptures make a clear case for the church to promote the anointing of the Holy Spirit as its first and most urgent priority. Many today are being sidetracked by the need to have 'spiritual experiences', while the bible is more interested in getting people filled with Spirit of God. Jesus Christ died and was resurrected so that the human race could have access to the life giving powers of God. Jesus himself could not begin his ministry till he had the same experience that is the prime focus of the gospel... the infilling power of the Holy Spirit.

The Power to be Saved

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

When it comes to the things of God, most people have no understanding of what they are dealing with. God is trying to save people from permanent extinction (death), but most are blindly adhering to lifestyles that are more appealing to their human nature. God is not offering a life of permanent denial and abstinence of all pleasures. He is trying to save people from certain death. Our perspective is short term and certainly devoid of any spiritual awareness. Spiritually speaking, the human race is brain dead, they are devoid of any potential and they are powerlessly living out their time; spiritually crippled... awaiting permanent death. On the other hand, God is offering us the power to be saved.
