Body of Evidence

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

Today, we test the world's most popular religious beliefs, by the same rule of law, which is common to the western judicial system. The following are the two main aspects the law uses in determining truth from error. *1. Weight of evidence...The strength, value and believability presented on a factual issue by one side as compared to evidence introduced by the other side.*2. Burden of proof... In a civil trial, the plaintiff's Burden of Proof is a standard based on the majority of evidence. This means that the accuser must convince the 'trier of facts' (judge or jury or you), that the evidence in support of their case outweighs the evidence offered by the defendant to oppose it.

This Is How God Works

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

There is so much confusion and unscriptural directions, that many find it difficult to find a power based relationship with God. There are many bible verses that when quoted in isolation, fail to reveal the full strength and power of true salvation. These notes particularly quote the passages that explain how the real power of God is activated. They also detail the true, faith based approach that results in signs, miracles and wonders. It is a shame that most people only hear of Jesus Christ and his love for the world, but never hear of nor see the power that is still available today.

Turn Away From Natural Thinking

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

One of the greatest mistakes people make is by expecting God to act in ways considered to be logical by human standards. God is a Spirit, thus his ways are different than ours. Our expectations and reasoning is very limited by comparison... with God seeming to be mysterious in many ways. ISA 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. If the correct scriptural approach is taken, many of the mysteries of God and his purposes, can be simply & easily used for the benefit of humanity.

The Sure Mercies of David Two

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

The death and resurrection of Christ enabled God to introduce a far better covenant, than the one it replaced. Our covenant begins with the personal anointing (indwelling) of the Holy Spirit. Due to the frailty of human beings, a system is also needed that can successfully deal with our failings and vulnerabilities. To meet these needs, God introduced a covenant dominated by grace and mercy. Mercy =Not getting the judgment you deserve. Grace=Getting forgiveness and blessing you don't deserve. Interestingly enough, God included one of the great, yet little understood blessings of the Old Testament for our ongoing benefit. This mechanism that keeps us free from our shortcomings is also referred to as 'the sure mercies of David'. These mercies are comprised of deliverance from our enemies and deliverance from ourselves... we no longer need to be victims to anything, especially sin.

Defining Devils and Serpents in Mark 16

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

The church age began on Pentecost (33AD) when the New Covenant was activated with signs miracles and wonders. The sacrifice that Christ had made opened the door for all men to witness the salvation plan of God. Faithful disciples began speaking in tongues as the spirit entered their bodies... other signs and wonders were being equally poured out for the first time. Much of what Jesus had prophesied was now becoming reality. This encouraged men and women to search the scriptures so they could identify and learn exactly how the New Covenant applied to them. Every era and culture has their own terminology and unique culture. That is why scriptural terminology and observable reality need to be put into a spiritual perspective... keeping in mind that the bible usually self interprets for the seekers of the truth. 1COR 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. People are easily confused by Hollywood stereotypes, religious errors and cultural myths... that is why we use the bible to interpret itself where possible.

Absolute Proof

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

It is of great value to compare the signs, contained within the God given ministry of Moses, with the signs based gospel of Jesus Christ... Moses story is complete, while the Christian age is still underway. By comparing the two sign based ministries, we learn of the absolute proof being offered to God's people today.

Who is a Real Christian

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

The word 'Christian' is not used all that often in the scriptures and certainly has a far different meaning than what is commonly understood by most people. There is a vast difference between believing in God and obeying God and a further difference of maintaining a lifelong servitude. Those who believe in God only, have no scriptural rank at all (however, most of these people are seen as Christians). Those who believe in God and promote his values and the role of Jesus, are disciples only (again, these are seen as practicing Christians, but this is also scripturally wrong)... because the term 'Christian' is strictly reserved for those who have been anointed having received) the Holy Spirit and are applying it to their lives, every day.

The Evidence and Calling of the Spirit

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

God offers evidence that is based on faith... not always what we want as proof, but tangible evidence, just the same. God's way is to avoid confusion (1Cor 14:33), that is why he offers signs and wonders.

Evolution or Creation

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

The following is a simple analysis between the plausibility of God creating our current world with purpose and planning in mind. Alternatively, all of the natural world is a meaningless, unplanned randomness, which somehow sees matter and life evolve and appear in incremental stages over a long period of time.

The Manifestation of the Spirit

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

Could you imagine the strife that would have erupted if Aaron declared the spirit of God had come to the temple, and the sacrifices had not been consumed by fire and the visible and tangible presence of the Lord had not occurred? Sadly, this is exactly what many of our modern churches are teaching as truth today. They claim the power of God has saved them while the visible presence of God, has been replaced with an invisible, blind faith mantra of self-declaration (I believe... therefore I am). We are told that if we expect the spirit of God to offer a sign, that somehow this is no longer faith, but works... how ridiculous. It is God that does the miracles, not us... God is the one that performs the works, because he has promised to do them. Don't be misled, God has not changed his mind, nor is he the author of any human or scriptural confusion (1Cor 14:33). The bible is still the best source for direction and truth... let's compare the evidence.
