The above term became popular by its use in the three musketeers, even though it's the principle theme for Christian life. This lifestyle directive from the bible isn't just a romantic slogan, but is a revelation for remarkable, powerful living. The great joy of escaping certain death and the discovery of the personal plans God has for us, is amazing in every way. We were saved through being obedient to spiritually motivated actions. We yielded to spiritual principles before the power of God could enter us. Likewise, our day to day servitude to God should be no different. We all have a job to do, but many never give God the chance to reveal what he has actually planned for them. Much of our life can be spiritually wasted, if we don't make the effort to serve God beyond the basics of reading, prayer and fellowship... for some, even this is a struggle.

We all know that without the spirit our body is dead, but equally, without God's intervention our spirit also faces permanent death. Thus, there is an unseen battle raging between life and death every day. It revolves around substance and ignorance, proof and theory, humility and pride. Despite overwhelming human indifference, God still offers a life preserving covenant, that links his spirit with ours. This covenant gives us an effective solution where the limitations of our humanity are counter balanced by His spiritual input.

No matter what the problem, what the need, what the requirement or what the desire is, God responds best through faith and works. The first section of the following scriptures relate to pressures within the Corinthian church... a church in potentially serious trouble, with numerous divisive issues. The second segment of the following scriptures, reveal a solid working solution to these difficulties... faith and works.

Most people fail to gasp that the Christian battle is between life and death, not between waring religious ideologies, nor atheistic debate. Everything of value has to be fought for and protected, whether it's democratic freedom, personal values or good health... challenges are forever forthcoming. This has also been the case with God's promises and values. There is a great reward for those who make their stand and defend their assets and values. There is an even greater reward when defending the plan of God. Remember, God has given you scripturally provable signs and doctrine, not just theory, nor religious debate.

This Psalm reveals just how knowledgeable God is about everything that comes and goes in our life. This motivates us to make the most of every situation, because God has everything under control... even if we can’t see the outcome. Our failings are not the problem, because God can fix them all... we need to believe him and stick to him no matter what. There is no place to hide nor any place to run to.

It is no surprise that movies with themes of impending worldwide destruction and 'good verses evil', do very well at the box office. It almost appears that the God given sense of good needing to triumph over evil cannot be ignored. After all, centuries before the popularity of movies and books, God has consistently warned us of such dire challenges coming about. Even more specifically, He describes the very nature of the destructive causes that will finally consume the earth... unquenchable fire and geophysical catastrophe. The threat will be created and triggered by humanity itself. Resulting from their rebellion against God's creative goodness and their preferences for unsustainable, lifestyle choices. This world is on limited time, the people have limited opportunities, but the bible offers defined and workable solutions for those who care to listen.

God offers very simple solutions to what often appear to be complex problems. Problems are only our interpretation of an idea, event or action that requires a response that is not always obvious. God has made a great effort to reveal scriptural promises that offer solutions without complexity.

The concept of loyalty is one of the great cornerstones of families and marriages. It is also the backstop behind successful sports teams, businesses, community groups, etc. Loyalty gives us the ability and patience to support a chosen group of people through both negative and positive events. It binds people into relationships that would otherwise crumble, when the pressures or changes of life appear. The loyalty that God offers the human race goes far beyond the type of loyalty that people can offer each other... it goes beyond human reasoning, beyond fairness and beyond time itself. The following verses give us a strong appreciation of how God’s loyalty works.

Since Adam, God has always identified himself with miracles, signs and wonders; particularly when working with faithful people. Most miracles are not the type that people always want to see, but that choice has always been His...not ours. God introduced the power of the spirit into the temple with miraculous displays. Similarly he gave the Israelites signs and symbols so they could identify themselves at a natural level as well. God has not changed. Now revealing himself through signs, miracles and wonders as he enters our bodies (the new temple of the Spirit). Like Israel, he now identifies his people through their ability to live a natural and spiritually based life, at the same time. Thus our lives identify and symbolise God's ways and power on earth.

The slippery slope argument doesn’t view moral (ethical) changes in isolation, but as the beginning of a trend. In general form, this argument says that if we allow something relatively harmless today, we may start a trend that results in something currently unthinkable becoming accepted. Many treat this argument as a fallacy in our modern world; because very few want to be held accountable when changes lead to unintended failings. For many, fulfilling once perverted lusts, is more acceptable than repercussions or personal responsibility.
