Windows of Time

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

Despite human pride and arrogance, we don't own this planet and have no more rights or powers than what the forces of nature allow. Remember, death quickly follows birth... no matter who we are. The bible reveals that God created this universe for a good reason. All things started from nothing and will return to nothing once again. As the bible says... 1PET 1:24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: Life appears then disappears very quickly.

Unsolvable Problems

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

There is no way to repair the worldwide break down of social and moral values. Far too many people are prepared to enjoy short term gains, at the expense of safe disciplines. The family unit, which has always been the strength of prosperous nations is almost shattered. The push for same sex marriage, will be quickly followed up by demands for other corruptions with underage children and every other sick or twisted perversion seeking to be acceptable. There is no turning back when all these failings are 'normalised' by world leaders and the bulk of the free press. However, the real problem is much greater than this. Weak nations lead to wars and instability. Trucebreakers and liars will dominate, but God will not stand to see his creation thus perverted. He will act the same way that Noah's generation witnessed, but this time it will be much worse. In simple terms, if the nations won't take spiritual direction, then they cannot establish a lasting and cohesive lifestyle on the earth. We have had consistent warnings since Jesus Christ and the gospel messages, right through to this modern age, but none are listening. In fact, people are mocked for even daring to mention these truths.

Why Have You Forsaken Me?

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

As is often the case with bible stories, there is more being revealed than what appears on the surface. When Jesus uttered the words 'my God, my God, why have you forsaken me' he was doing much more than lamenting his fate. Jesus was quoting the first and identifying line of Psalm 22... a thousand year old prophecy that would pinpoint the identity of the true Messiah. Until this time, the Psalms were known by the opening words, as the verses and chapters were not yet applied (chapters 13th century and verses 16th century approx.,). Jesus effectively identified that he was the one that Psalm 22 referred to and that the details surrounding his death, also matched the contents of the Psalm.

When Do Christians Rise and Meet the Lord?

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

While we are in the world we are subjected to diseases, violence, war and natural disasters; to all of which the Lord has strongly suggested, that prayer can be very effective counter measure. However, at the point when God determines that the Holy Spirit will no longer be poured out (the end of the New Testament age), and the fiery judgment of God begins… at this point the saints will be gathered together by the Lord, while the earth faces God’s wrath. This cleansing process is both catastrophic, yet vital; as it allows the earth to get a fresh start without the clutter of 6000 years of human rebellion and corruption. This study will reveal that the saints are protected from the wrath of God… the rest of the world isn’t.

The First Miracle

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

The first miracle that Jesus performed of turning the water into wine, is also a metaphor for salvation. This is also the first miracle we receive that gives us eternal life...the anointing of the Holy Spirit. It was common for Jesus to use parables and metaphors and a wise person will realise that such treasures are hidden away in numerous places in the gospels. Understanding these truths is a great blessing and a rich source of knowledge and wisdom.

The Time at the End - Part B

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

We are not going to look specifically at the signs that herald the end of this age, but we are going to investigate the social and religious attitudes prophesied for this time. The Bible has a huge amount of details that pertain to these end times and the Lord makes it very clear that he is not going to tolerate this situation much longer. There is a remarkable clarity about the word of God that so accurately identifies the troubles of our current times. The type of problems we are looking at are not new and have caused the end of many other civilizations in the past. The Bible bears record of these troubled times and it is interesting to compare notes with what has gone in the past. History truly repeats itself and we can see clearly that we are in the death throws of this age. The best aspect about all of this is in the fact that there is an answer to the problem. Unfortunately, most people don't want to hear it. Lets go back about 4,000 years and look at Sodom. These people had corrupted themselves so much: God was no longer going to tolerate them. None were interested in the ways of God and they simply ran out of time.

Water and Fire

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

The world is on the brink of an absolute, planet wide disaster that will eliminate almost all forms of human and animal life. This is the second time that the bible has recorded such far reaching disasters...the first time was the great flood and the next and soon to come calamity relates to a fiery death for almost all forms of life. God had Noah build an ark to save those who believed the prophecy of the coming flood and Jesus Christ is building another ark... called the church; which will also deliver those who prepare for the coming fire. Both destructive judgments are the results of human rebellion against the principles of God.

The Phophecies of Malachi

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

The book of Malachi was the last book of the bible written before Jesus Christ was born (approx 450bc). It also plays the same role as does the book of Revelation in the New Testament. Like Revelation, it contains layers of truths for the time of its writing, but also contains many prophetic revelations about the age of the church; our current age today. A simple study reveals that Malachi serves far more people in this age, than the one that preceded Christ. The following verses are perhaps of key relevance and interest to us as we face the near return of Christ.

Ready or Not?

By Pastor Brad Smith [Brisbane]

Taln Notes " Bible prophecy and chronology places us at a time of great upheaval and impending nuclear war. The contents of bible prophecy predict the total loss of all human life on the planet, excepting for the return of Jesus Christ. There is only one sure way of escape prophesied in the bible, yet most people will perish because they refuse to take the time and effort to listen to the total of what God says. He is coming back whether you are ready or not!"
