Greater Works
Featuring Pastor Brad Smith
Delivered by Pastor Brad Smith 20/06/25. There is an intriguing scripture in the gospel of John that reveals that our works surpassing that of Christ's. 'John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also, and greater works than these shall he do, because I go unto my Father'. It is interesting for two reasons... the first is the statement that we will have the potential to do the works of Christ (miracles)...and the second, which is the most amazing, reveals that we have the potential to do even greater works than Christ... how can that be? What is something that Jesus didn't do, or couldn't do while he was on earth as opposed to what we can do while he is in heaven? The best way to solve this problem is to look at the changes that occurred after he left. We don't need to go too far into the book of Acts to find the answer. The Everlasting Covenant
Featuring Pastor Brad Smith
Delivered by Pastor Brad Smith 15/06/25. The death and resurrection of Christ enabled God to introduce an far better covenant than the one it replaced. Our covenant begins with the personal anointing (indwelling) of the Holy Spirit. Due to the frailty of human beings, a system is also needed that can successfully deal with our future sins and shortcomings. To meet these needs, God introduced a covenant ruled by mercy and grace (MERCY = Not getting the judgement we deserve. GRACE = Getting forgiveness and blessing we don't deserve). Interestingly, God included one of the great, yet little understood blessings of the Old Testament for our ongoing benefit. This mechanism that keeps us free from our shortcomings is also referred to as 'the sure mercies of David'. These mercies are comprised of deliverance from our enemies and deliverance from ourselves... we no longer need to be victims to anything, especially sin. David's faith provided this covenant promise with God. They That Wait Upon The Lord
Featuring Mitchell Lever
Delivered by Mitchell Lever 08/06/25. As people we constantly find ourselves in situations of waiting. Whether we are waiting for a bus, for the end of the working day, to finish a degree or training, or for a bad situation to resolve, we are required to wait. In our relationship with God we are also required to wait for blessing, provision, guidance, etc. He has promised that those who wait upon him will be taken care of and made strong. What we need to consider is HOW God has instructed us to wait. The Prayer Of Faith
Featuring Pastor Brad Smith
The Prayer Of Faith Delivered by Pastor Brad Smith 25/05/25. Today we will be investigating the powerful promises that God has given to us with regards to prayer. Prayer is communication and where there is no communication there can never be any results. The opposite is also true... good communication will bring about excellent blessings. The Lord knows all about our human nature and is more than aware of our strengths and our weaknesses. His indwelling Spirit provides complete answers for all human needs. This is the message that Jesus wants us to take out into the whole world... it works for everyone. To grow strong also means to get past weakness... this can only be achieved through the power of faithful prayer. Scriptural References. Opening The Box From The Wrong End
Featuring Pastor Brad Smith
Opening The Box From The Wrong End Delivered by Pastor Brad Smith 9/05/25. The human race greatly needs simple instructions. When we open a 'do it yourself' box (our life choices), we need to open it the right way up and look for the instructions... humanity tends to do the opposite. People make the mistake of believing that God is the cause wars and many afflictions that have sprung up through human history. That is not the case. It is humanity who rejects and defies God and change all creative principles that work and bring blessing. God has given us the freedom to make our own choices, but with that freedom comes the consequences. God tells us that we have a purpose and a way to fulfil it. All that we call human history -- money, poverty, ambition, war, crime, murder, lies, prostitution, cultures, classes, empires, slavery -- is the long and terrible story of man trying to find something, other than God, which will make him happy. As failings pile up and things get worse, people lash out at one another and need someone to blame... even though they made their own choices. The need to blame everyone else, is the name of the game today. Everyone wants freedom, but nobody want to be accountable. The opposite to what God offers. Who Am I
Featuring Pastor Brad Smith
Who Am I Delivered by Pastor Brad Smith 27/04/25. Many of us must wonder from time to time why the Lord chose us to do what has to be done. Self-doubt is a good thing in the beginning because it helps us understand the need to trust in God and his purposes... after that... we need to walk by faith and let the Lord do his work through us. Given To Hospitality
Featuring Mitchell Lever
Delivered by Mitchell Lever 06/04/25. Given To Hospitality. The Bible tells us that there is no greater love than when a person lays down their life for a friend. The scriptures further encourage us to be "given to hospitality", sharing this great love not only with friends, but also with strangers. Scriptural References. The Touchstone.
Featuring Pastor Brad Smith
The Touchstone. Delivered by Pastor Brad Smith 06/04/25. The touchstone has been an essential method for testing the purity of gold and silver for 4000 years. This is scripturally mentioned with Abraham having much wealth in gold and silver (GEN 13:2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold). Historically, a method of testing was essential to separate counterfeit and fake precious metals, and to also establish overall purity. There are two known ways to test the purity of gold and silver. The first way is to melt them down where impurities can be separated (trial by fire). However, this is not suitable for the daily use of gold and silver coins... thus a touchstone is used. The metal to be assayed is rubbed on the touchstone, adjacent to the rubbing on the touchstone of a sample of a metal of known purity... they are compared. Uses of the touchstone... In scripture, God uses the well-known 'touchstone' principle to prove the validity of his promises, and also to confirm our reality as Christians. Speaking in tongues serves as a touchstone for those claiming to be saved or anointed... this is a direct comparison with the bible narrative. Scriptural References.
